I finally got some paint on today after having a nightmare with it re-acting in places but like i say i got a good coat on and plenty of laquer for a good colour sand, well that much i got a few runs in the laquer but then they can easily be sanded out and buffed, more sanding !! will it ever end
a few runs
this is where it reacted

Well unfortunately i spent all day today sanding the car back down as i wasnt happy with the result of the paintwork so the car is back in primer ready to be guide coated and rubbed flat again and then i will give it another coat and hope for a better result

Fuck me, that must of been heart breaking to sand that new paint!
The lad who sprays my cars mentioned he has major problems with silcone in the air, causing this type of thing. Even cars pulling up at his workshop with a fresh coat of back to black bumper cleaner or dash shine stuff!
Hence why the big players have spray booths.
Just thought I would mention, dont know why really as I know fuck all about painting cars!

Well today i went about seeing how the ancillaries fit etc and as you can see from these pics below its a tight squeeze
inlet and fuel rail fits ok, except the fuel reg im going to have to move it some how ?
then i fitted the turbo and come across another problem that a new would happen
so i m going to have to fab a bracket to sit the turbo back 2 inches so i can get a intake pipe on it
this is where the most chopping had to be done so i can get all the pulleys etc through, once its all fitted i will rebuild this side to regain its strengh and i might put a bolt on cover so if any work needs doing to the front of the lump its easily accessible

Good progress getting made on this......
Must have been a kick in the nuts having to re-do the paint after all the work had been done......Looked soooooo nice that colour on the car....
Be interesting to see it when the yb lumps in and all the ancillaries are fitted. Will be a very tight squeeze by the looks of it tho.....
But then when its done should look amazing.....

Yeah i know i think i was just a case of doing the outside of the car first then i was gonna strip the engine bay and paint it seperate, then this yb came up so all the plans changed so its gonna stay in primer till all the chopping and weldings done then paint the whole lot in one go and yes it will be the same colour
