Default H380 TBV Sapphire Cosworth Concours car

Hi All,

Been an amazing year for me got the car of my dreams in May a 2wd Sapphire Cosworth i have wanted one for about 6 years,(Small story) A friend of mine had a 330bhp white RS500 and he took me out in it and i was hooked.

So got the car in may shes standard apart from a S/S exhaust and thats how shes staying just want to bring her up to a high level for showing, have been cleaning like mad and removing bits cleaning painting bits up replacing bits i go on lol, shes done 36,000 mile one lady owner for the first 11 year then a bloke for the last 5 now me and always dry stored.

Shes now off the road as far as im conserned.

Had the front end up in the air this weekend all the front surspention is off and the anti roll bar going to get it all powder coated bushed and new nuts and bolts.

Started painting the inner archs too.

Got another set of alloys for her on the way standard lattice going to have them reconed with new tyres but not sure weather to have them painted or powder coated????? whats the best????

Some pics of her this summer.

To get some of the components off the wings the arch liner needed to come out and it was a very happy sight behind there going to paint it body colour and the same for all the other archs.

Wire brushed me hubs down and left them like that for now as after national day all the suppension coming off for powder coating so no point in painting them up.

The front disks where replaced when i brough the car so wire brushed them and painted them to stop the rush and make them look a bit better/cleaner.

By this point i had also cleaned my front wheels inside and out and found a leak in the drivers side front brake pipe so phone my mate and hes said "bring me the brake pipes and il make you some new ones" so why i was at it i took him both pipes as theres no point doing one.
fully wire brushed me calipers and copper greesed the sliding edges back of pad and put back together readfor me new pipes and disks to dry.

i reasembled the front brakes bleed them up, no leaks which was good and went out to test them all ok and better than ever now braking is twice as good for a good service and cleanup.
